Anyone else have a Benz in this color? Is it rare? |

WOW ! .
I wish my '82 240D looked that nice . Our ten year old Foster boy walked by and asked if I was going to be getting this one.....

A bold pic ,it shows off the round curves of the w123 ,american cars of this era were going towards abrupt corners at form .In the late 60s american cars were much more pleasing to the eye and I would not doubt that Mercedes took note.

Nate, thanks for the kind words, I think I'll be keeping this one for a while...
Chasinthesun, I agree, these older MBs do not resemble their US counterparts especially in the 70s. I posted this because I have not seen many cars this color and the few I have found seem to be euro spec cars. Was this color offered in the US? I should also mention that it was originally purchased in Germany and has a blue cloth interior, crank windows, no AC and factory Blaupunkt radio. Alex |

There's one down the street from me. I think it's Euro as it's got hubcaps. I forget about the bumpers. I'll look a little more closely next time I drive by.

U.S. Or European Spec. ?
Hub caps were quite common on 240D's sole in America.
My beloved '82 240D (drove it more to - day ) came with them . This gray car having cloth seats is prolly a grey market import, so many came in that way when these were new and nearly new . Lots and lots came down from Canada too ~ colors we didn't get and same Spec. as U.S. too . It's a sweetie to be sure ! just remember : DRIVE IT ! . Vehicles that are held in limbo are worthless .
