Electrical connector disassembly
I'm working on the repair of the window regulator sliding jaw. The replacement part appears to need peening in order install it on the arm.
When looking at the FSM, it mentions unpinning a couple of pins from the window switch connector that connect to the window motor. However, I am unsure of how to get the back off of the connector, without breaking it. Has anyone successfully taken this type of connector apart and what kind of tools did you use?

The alternative is to gently pry apart the new slider and replace the pin with a suitable bolt or a pin that takes a cotter- or clevis pin.

Hmm... I've considered this but was wondering if it would interfere with the operation of the regulator arm. I guess a little closer inspection is in order.

Not in my case. There's at least a half inch clearance. Enough for a couple of nuts.

A skinny pocket knife is your friend. GENTLY slide it under the clips on the connector and lift out slightly from the connector body. It'll come right off.
Speaking from experience, have a pad and pencil handy and write down the colors and locations of the wires BEFORE you remove anything!
