Oil cooler nipple size and pitch

I am going with mach4's oil cooler line method of brazing an -10 fittings to the steel lines that run from the oil filter housing.

Problem is, I don't want to tap the oil cooler for the 90degree bend.

Is there a metric to AN elbow adapter that would work here?

My other option would be to braze an fittings on the oil cooler steel line short segment.

In Mach's write up though it seems that this creates an awkward kink in the hose.

Any ideas?

Just wanting to keep the oil cooler stock

This is what I have in my Notes: The thread size where the Oil Cooler Hoses screw onto the Repair Nipples is M22x1.5 on a 82 300D Oil Cooler.

Note the repair Nipples on the end the hose screws onto are the same as the Nipples on the Oil Cooler of W123 300D. Also the Hose end does not seal with the threads it seals on the Aacorn shaped area of the hose (see pic).

Also if you have found those Oil Cooler Hose repair threads you will find the correct Oil Cooler Hose size and a source to buy it from which would obviate the need for the AN type fittings. That is my opinion and the very hose I have on mine

thx for the info.

yeah, I guess that plan wouldn't word, since the rounded end is needed for the seal.

I guess i'll just modify my existing steel segments and keep the oil cooler connection as is.
