1985 300TD-T A.C.V.
Felt now that Nick's thread on his '87 TD was getting specific, best to move to it't own thread, and hopefully continue the gracious and wonderful help from "wstetson3" that is much appreciated.
Sure, looks good. Thank you for toughing it out, I am working on my social skills (diagnosed with Autism as an adult and only recently able to get specialized help). Quote:
Not 100 percent perfect, but with 314,000 on an accurate odometer (have 25 years of history) she was in really good condition. It has proven difficult to find comprepadbles: either have 200,000 or so miles or worse condition. And yes, been looking since soon after the accident. But was so messed up didn't think it drag out and didn't save them. She was from Pasadena California, Sun Valley Idaho, Springfield Oregon, to Mesa Arizona, so not a spot of rust. Nothing. Title has nothing, except the milage is accurate. I am sure Carfax show the same as didn't come up in the insurance report. Only a couple dings, paint shinny, deep, and no flaws. Never had anything set on it, except on time my mother did, and chewed her out. One minor accident to the right headlight surround and tip of the finder, tip of hood. Sheetmetal was pulled out, only the lights needed to be replaced. Regularly washed and waxed at least once a year with premium carnauba wax. The interior being palomino had turned pink in many places and the driver's seat did have some cracks in on bottom bolster. No tears in the carpet, no stains, and no wear spots. All there and working, except the A/C didn't work, but just put in a Sanden kit, just needed a hose. No cracks in the dash. Engine and transmission worked (after reading the article you provided, they don't care about details, like recently rebuilt turbocharger). Suspension recently rebuilt. Brakes just rebuilt. Tyres a recent purchase, I.I.R.C. 8/32 according to the insurance appraiser. Sent Tram an email asking for the purchase photographs. Looked through mine and amazed how few I took. Did attach a recent one from about a year prior. What you want for comparables? There are these: Mercedes-Benz 300TD in Cars & Trucks | eBay What we have been seeing is $10,000 to $15,000, even on Craigslist. Quote:
