Yes, all the good ones are gone here, I have them all :D Actually, the ones with the best value in the color I want are snatched up fast. I will probably have to travel to get one. When I do, I will post a thread and try to visit as many Diesel enthusiasts on the way back as time will allow......Rich

If you end up in Raleigh come 100 miles east to visit the Atlantic here in Wilmington. I'll buy dinner! Heck, we'll even put you up if you're a non-smoker (ME is wildly allergic).

We shall see. A member is going to look at the car tomorrow for me. It may even be better to have the car shipped if I do end up buying it. If I do decide to make a road trip, I will definitely stop and visit as many members as time allows. Yes, I am a NON smoker, and am sensitive as well. I just hope the car I get was not smoked in.....Rich

I'm heading out to Raleigh this weekend to look at a vehicle myself!

I am allergic to tobacco, and I bought a vehicle that was smoked in... took a good few weeks of cleaning all the glass etc... ac running would bring back the smell for quite some time. Finally got it clean.

This one is a no go
 

Thanks Shane for your efforts. I made an offer based on the condition of the car, and it was not accepted. Oh well, there are others. I did in fact purchase a nice car in Ohio that has the "Black Death", but I am sure I can repair it. It is very nice in all other respects, and I only paid $3,500 + tax and such. It will cost me a grand to get it here, but when it is all said and done, I will be in the car for less than 6K.......Rich

Sounds like you got a great deal. That is still a nice car in Raleigh if someone else is looking.
