Hello, looking for a back up light switch and cannot even find a picture of one or one offered at Pelican parts.....can someone help?

For the 83 five speed behind the 617 in my Studebaker.

That would not apply in the standard transmission cars, would it? ...in this case a 123 five speed overdrive trans.

I can send pics of a 4spd manual, but reverse is probably not in the same spot (upper left) as the 5 spd.

I would call the classic center with the transmission number, or the vin of the donor, if known.

You should be able to find the right switch somewhere, but if not, it sould be a relatively easy project to fabricate a bracket for a waterproof limit switch (as used on CNC mills, etc). Just position it so when the lever is in the R position, it throws the switch. These kinds of switches have lots of adjustment options so you just need to get it close with the bracket and final adjust at the switch

Here's but one of many possibilities -

...just an idea for consideration should you be unable to find a stock switch

For the 83 five speed behind the 617 in my Studebaker.
For manual trans applications with external linkage MB typically placed the Back Up Light Switch (BUL-S) in the gear selector, aka shifter.

I was thinking that. Wonder if mine has a switch already? I'll have to take a look.

Thanks Guys!
