Fuel Filter Crushwasher Size?

I have an early style fuel filter setup, with one oring and the crush washer. Does anyone know the crush washer size? Couldn't find anything locally last night, and had to toss an M18 copper crush washer on as it's all I had. It's leaking, ha ha.

Size 18 x 22 x1.5 mm.

I've used a copper crush washer in a pinch, but the aluminium ones seem to seal better.

The housing and the bolt mating surfaces are generally very uneven by this point in time.

Make sure that you have removed the old crush washer from the bolt.
The old crush washer can stick to the bolt, looking like the flanged portion of the head of the bolt, and prevent the new crush washer from sealing.

Thanks.

I've been having a hell of a time finding an aluminum one. Lowes and 4 auto part stores were a no go. I have a 18mm copper at the moment that's leaking.

I pulled the aluminum one off prior to installing the copper, it was probably used a bunch as it was chewed up badly.

I haven't tried it so I don't know how well it works but I've read that you can reheat them with a propane torch and slightly restore some of their resealing capabilities.

Here is a U.S. source for such things:https://www.belmetric.com/aluminum-gaskets-c-11_92/ga18x22-aluminum-gasket-p-1452.html

I couldn't find the size anywhere.

Bought an assortment of washers, all of them leak. Got creative, and had some cork gasket maker laying around, used that and gasket sealer which dried semi hard..... No leaks currently....

Super shanty repair, already ordered a bunch of the proper size online.

Replaced all the fuel lines, and redid the pcv system yesterday. Constantly working on this thing, but find it rather enjoyable.
