door stops, flat or concave base?

hi folks, i noticed that my driver's door stop was broken and took it out. the little frame has a curved base with several concavities where the rolling pin rests, corresponding to different positions in which the door will stop. fine. looking on ebay i only see stop mechanisms that have a flat base, i.e., no stops.

in the absence of part numbers, are both styles original? are they for different doors of the car? does the difference matter?

part #123-720-05-16

picture on PP shows two concavities

sometimes the ebay pics are stock photos and may not be exactly the same item

I believe MB changed the design. On my old 79 240, it was a pot metal curved frame. The newer version is all stamped and not curved. If you look closely, you can see two dimples on the part thats inside the door. Those are the detents. Mount bolt holes are the same, etc.
