Transmission Fluid & Filter Change

Ok, so in the process of changing the transmission fluid & filter on my 77 300D I found this in my otherwise very clean transmission pan:

The ends are very sharp and appear to have been broken off. Any idea what the heck it is??

Also, is there a torque spec for the four pan bolts and the banjo bolt for the dip stick tube??

Thanks

That looks like the end of a spring coil, lots of them in there mainly inside K1,K2 and b1 pistons.

Search for those, lots of pics which you maybe able to match-up to, if not just remove each piston for inspection.
