Clutch slave cylinder hose, 78 240D

I attempted starting my 240D today after it sat for two years ... the good news is it fired right up and ran smoothly. The bad is the clutch pedal just went right to the floor and stayed there. I went to bleed it and 1) the bleed screw stripped 2) it was leaking quite a bit from the front. So I took it out to replace it, and the hard line that goes into the top of it just broke in two (rust). I managed to get the combo hard line and hose out (fitting stripped in the middle of it). I figure I should replace the rubber one too on principle and it seems they come as a pair anyway. The OE hose/line lists at $60 or more, which i'm not thrilled with. Is there any cheaper alternative? Would it be worth the effort to try to fabricate it? The fittings look different from the brake lines so I'm not sure something generic would work. Just curious is anyone has done so, or had a hydraulic shop make them. I'm guessing factoring in the effort to take it to the shop and pick it up, I might as well get it from the dealer, but I figured I'd ask.

The hard line can be had at NAPA (generic), and the rubber hose is 8mm (I think).

Thanks, I wasn't sure if the fittings were common. I suppose the thing to do would be just take it down to NAPA and see what I can piece together. Given the state of the rest of this car I don't want to spend a lot on it, but would love to have it drivable this spring since my 300D is far from done.

Are you talking about the pressure line from the clutch master to the slave? If so the rubber portion is not essential. You can get a generic hard line and use that. If you do get extra and make a coil near the master or the slave to absorb vibration.
