Which Mann transmission filter for 722.3

Which Mann filter is supposed to be used for the 722. transmission? I have seen H199, but when I bought a filter a H2014 kit arrived The gasket was wrong for the pan though which led me to ask this question.

I bought both filter and gasket from the dealer. Ironically, the cost was lower than most of the aftermarkets available online.

If the kit you bought has the wrong gasket, I wouldn't trust that anything else in it is right either.

Both 722.3 and 722.4 take a Mann H2014 filter. They use different pan gaskets though. The 722.3 gasket is rectangular with a pinch in the middle, the 722.4 gasket is like a fat letter T.

That is a good way to describe the two gaskets, thanks.

I had the same issue...And I ended up using the filter and getting the gasket at the dealer due to time constraints. 10k miles later on the filter and Mobil 1 ATF, so far so good!

Thank you for the inputs. Yes renaissanceman. I can see what you mean by time constraints! There we were under the vehicle with the tranny pan off, the transmission drained of 6+ quarts of ATF, ATF dripping everywhere, hoping a wind wouldn't kickup and blow sand and dirt into the transmission. Only to find out the gasket is wrong and/ or the filter is wrong.

I didnt buy this filter but at this description below but, there is something wrong with this if looked up by vehicle make/year instead of transmission #:

As luck would have it, the night mine sat open a rare summer windstorm kicked up here in Central California and blew dust and sand everywhere before the dealership opened the next morning. I was almost sick when I woke up to the results of the wind overnight, but so far my transmission still runs great after the dust...

Was that the delta wind? I don't need to tell you this now, because I'm sure you figured it out. But, I will for others. Could have just bolted the pan on temporary while awaiting the correct parts.

I would have, but I knocked off work at around 9pm, went to bed, and the storm happened. Generally it's quite still overnight in the summer here, with maybe a 2-5mph breeze at most, so I didn't even consider a windstorm.

It was just some type of unsettled windy weather out of the west. I'm far enough south that we don't have much delta influence, but beyond that I couldn't tell you what the cause was. It knocked a lot of fruit off my trees as well as trying to ruin my transmission.
