W123 Trunk lid seal on W123 rear hatch
Has anyone used trunk lid seal from a w123 parts car to replace leaking portions of a w1123 rear hatch?
I'd much rather do that than pony up $250-$300 for a new seal.

Scaring me. I went to rock and see a new trunk seal for $17, about what I pay for my 60's Mopar cars. It is Uro, which many here lambast, but still probably better than rubber from a junkyard car.
The main problem is the design of the trunk gutters. If you park with the rear even slightly uphill, it looks like the water won't even drain. Probably due to designers wanting clean lines, rather than function.

Cool, I'll check my old one and see if the profile matches the hatch seal. Thanks.
