Trick to removing the bolts on the downpipe?

For the turbo on the om602.. I'm removing the exhaust at the back of the turbo on an om602.. The bolts at the bottom. There's no room for a ratchet to get it from underneath with a swivel socket or from the top. A wrench isn't working well either. There's NO room... Well what's the trick? Cause everything else has come along on my engine removal except this. I would be willing to cut the downpipe and re-weld it when I put the other motor in at this point and I hate hacking things like this.

Bolts? There should be 2 nuts that take a 12mm wrench holding the downpipe to the connecting pipe.

Extension and a set of swivel sockets from HF. A regular socket with swivel adapter won't work. This is the combination I used on mine.

Thanks Steve. That's what I think may be the issue. I'll pick a set up.

KROIL, PB Blaster or something similar first, then a 12 mm 6 point box wrench to break it free first, then a 12mm Gear Wrench to get it off the rest of the way has always worked for me.

I always use Permatex Never-Seize and new copper plated nuts when reinstalling after running a die over the threads of the studs.
