om617 - Consequences of Too Much ATF in the system?

1983 300d turbo, om617 Gents, what would happen if you put too much transmission fluid into the tranny? I put an entire jug of Lucas transmission fluid additive into the transmission, but I neglected to not add a quart of ATF when doing the transmission fluid and filter exchange. So now when I check the transmission fluid while the engine is warm, the fluid level is about 2-3 inches above the two 'hash marks' on the dipstick. How many miles can I drive before the transmission explodes?

not good, you're going to cause aeration inside the trans and blow out the seals pretty quick. drain it and have it right where it should be. bottom line on the trans is cold, top one is hot.

Okay, I will suck out a lil bit of fluid from the dipstick using my Topsider until I get the right level. Good looking out, thanks
