What does a bare 617.952 block weigh in at?

A relative has been taking advantage of my garage for years now, and never cleans up after himself. Now that I have a big project, I've been dumping literally dozens of cubic yards of ***** out of there. It's a very small garage and I'm going to need to be compact as possible, so building special shelves will come soon. I plan to let my engine sit on a shelf about 4 ft off the ground for the time being. I'm not sure if between me and a buddy we can get it up there without a lift (pita inside a building)

Sooo... Anyone know the weight..? If nobody can find an answer I'll measure it and say what I got for future reference. Thx

2 people can easily lift most _BARE_ engine blocks, I'd say 150 LB but don't quote me on that. Keeping heavy stuff at ground level is usually better.

What's even better is a bigger garage...

Thanks though, that's way lighter than I initially had thought.

JUST the block? Add in bearing caps, so you're still just a bare block: 157 pounds. One person can pick it up. Just sold 4 of them (NOS). Each weighed 157 +/- 15 ounces each.
