300D Turbo Lemforder Flex Discs

Do not order lemforder flex discs off ebay! I ordered a pair of 126-410-02-15 off of ebay as it was the only listing that matched part number and brand, and after all that searching an confirming, I got the part today and it ****ing febi.
I certainly did not pay all that extra cash for a pair of febi discs! They feel fine but I do not trust them. I cannot find these Lemforder discs anywhere, I ordered them off ECS tuning, and they told me they were no longer available three days later, then I checked pelican, again. And the O.E.M. brand is still listed as febi bilstein, and I even contacted pelican and they confirmed febi. I dont want no febi garbagio, can someone please tell me where to get Lemforders? This is driving me mad! Please help me, thank you!

If it's such a problem order directly from the dealer and spend $200 a disc. FEBI/Bilstein are fine. They're used on BMWs and seem to hold up ok.

Jake thats how ill pay 200 for a febi part instead of 85, I'm sure they're "fine" or "okay" or "aight" but I want an excellent part, especially for this job.

I can understand your concern but I have 26K on a flex disc on my w210 made from FEBI and it doesn't have cracks or cause vibration.

I ordered the Febi part for my 300SDL and the box said Febi, but the part inside was OEM. Same part number and manufacturer as the 31 year old ones on the car. I'm not losing a wink of sleep.

I have heard that Febi is more of a reboxer than a brand. So, you might have a Lemforder part in the box. See if you can find a brand logo or name on the disc itself. Hopefully it's a Lemforder part in a Febi box.

With that said, I think that if you paid extra money for a Lemforder brand part, you are entitled to exactly that. Otherwise it's bait-and-switch.

Interesting!

I bought from ECS what I thought was a $53 Lemforder flex disc and got exactly what you did...oh well, it was cheaper than even the original weaker flex discs. Being on the other side of the Pacific I can't be bothered asking what the story is.

No logo or company name on the disc itself at all

Read the ad closely. If they were advertized as lemforder flex discs you can easily get ebay to get you a refund if the item was not what was in the ad.

You need to contact the Seller first and tell them.

....
I've purchase a few Febi flex disks/guibos in the past. And they've been a reboxed original equipment Jurid/SGF manufactured disk. Not sure what they are doing today, but with Febi, I am sure it's hit or miss.

SFG's?

So these are what I got in the febi box, are they SFG's? From the little reading I did I learned that SFG stands for Sueddeutsche-Gelenkscheibenfabrik, which just about means South German Flex Disc Factory, and they were founded by Jurid I believe.. I'm aware that the stuff that comes out of a Deutsche waffenfabrik is quite reputable, so I can assume that a Deutsche gelenkscheibenfabrik might put out good product too. Does anyone know if this part is just a SFG in a febi box and if this SFG is as good as the Lemforder part? I heard Lemforder boxes SFG's too, is that a rumor? (The brand stamp is probably obvious but I just want to be reassured.) Anyways, I really want to install these and get them out of the way. Please let me know! Thanks ya'll!

Sorry for the small photo, I'm at the limits of size. The disc says GN128 on the other end as well.
