I don't think so. Everything is pretty much bigger on a diesel, plus the cam setup is a little different than the diesel.
The M110 has tiny hydraulic lifters and rocker arms, the Om617 doesn't have rocker arms and has solid lifters. I could be wrong but this is my educated guess.
