Yup, hard to beat the price/performance ratio of Rotella T6 in our older diesels, it's nice to see Blackstone's testing confirm this. The only diesel oil I've found that performs consistently better, is the LM Leichtlauf High Tech 5w40, which costs more than Rotella T6 and isn't as widely available.
* Note that LM makes several 5w40 weight oils - I'm talking specifically about the "Leichtlauf High Tech" 5w40, which is formulated for older engines.
