Leak by rear right tire 82' 240D. Ummm....

So i'm new to this car and don't know much, it used to be my dad's. This morning i noticed a decent leak on the passenger side by the rear wheel. I climbed under and saw this hose attached to nothing, dripping. Can anyone tell me what's going on and what i can do? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

Did you leave your gas cap off somewhere?

I think that is the fuel door drain...

vstech, i think you are completely right. Thank you! I just checked the cap and there was diesel in the area and the cap was loose.

Thank you!

That is indeed the fuel overflow drain. I would also check the gasket on your fuel cap. They don't seem to like the ULSD fuel as much as the old diesel.
