Turn signals did not flash 85 300sd

Today none of my turn signals would flash then after awhile they did flash.? Was wondering where the flasher is located on this car for signals if it happens again.

When mine does that, if I activate the hazard switch that fixes it. I've heard others say that but no explanation as to why. Maybe more current that breaks loose something sticky? I don't know, but it works.

Since there's only one flasher relay, the turn signal indicator selects which side blinks. In order to flash both sides at the same time, the wires for the blinkers go through the hazard switch basically to connect both sides together. If you live in a damp environment, the contacts in the hazard switch can corrode causing a poor connection resulting in the blinkers not working.

This is why turning the hazard switch back and forth several times in a row usually fixes the blinkers not working.
