Anyone in Phoenix with a good 722.315 trans for sale?

Looking for a good 722.315 transmission for a 1984 300D in the Phoenix area. Thanks!

What is wrong with your current unit?

I just got a great deal on having mine rebuilt by German Transmissions, who is also recommended by a Mercedes indy I used to go to.

How are you going to R and R?

Apparently the trans in the 300D I sold my brother-in-law back in July somehow cracked it's case after a 1600 mile drive from VA to CO. Not sure how it happened as I was not present and have not even seen photos, but he's had two mechanics look at it and both have said the same thing. So he's looking for a used replacement and looking for a reliable old Mercedes mechanic in the valley to do the work and take care of maintenance and repairs going forward. I've found a few used transmissions for him in AZ, but just expanding my search to individuals.

Myself have not found anyone that is reliable, knowledgeable, or can trust, however, there is one out East in the Phoenix shop forum that have not tried (like doing the work myself especially as gain confidence).

I would suggest giving German transmission a call and see what he can do.

Not that needed, but for some reason there is no other options, do have a '79 transmission with no history (couldn't get the engine started).

Another is look on Row52. Was just in a yard and it had good number of W123/W126 vehicals.

Hope this helps.
