om602 prechamber leak around splines

So after i got the engine all back together with new lift pump seal, dv washer/seals and emergency shutoff o-rings i ran a can of diesel purge through it all with the intake off. Ran great very little air in clear lines between injectors. Then i noticed a small leak around the fitting for injector number 3. So i messed with the lines between injectors a bit and broke. Not a problem i had some spare pieces. So i swap them and refire, no leak but i see bubbles around the pre-chamber ring. I have rebuilt injectors and new heat shields in 5k ago. I remove that line and snug up the injector, moved maybe 1/16". Back together and seems leak is much less. I would like to take care of it asap. I found the spline tool and pulled and pre-chamber on pelican here. I have a spare engine so i might rob that pre-chamber first. Is there a seal in between?

No seal; just a clean tight fit. My son's #1 was doing the same (much easier to work on than #3 without removing the intake cross-over). There is a special tool to shave a clean surface, but I didn't have one and you need to trim the surface perfectly or get another head. Trim too much and the prechamber interferes with the piston clearance. I did not remove the prechamber. I cleaned within it as much as possible gently using a copper brush and removed all the crud, then replaced the injector using a new heat shield using proper torque. It appears to have fixed the problem.

Be aware that if fuel spilled around the injector its normal to see some bubbling around it for a while as the fuel boils off.

As in post #3 take it for a long drive and see if you can get it to evaorated and stop bubbling. Assuming there is no fuel or oil leaking from the out side it should dry up in time and use.

not really sure what happened. Runs roughs with some smoke at start up and goes away after a short drive. I decided after a cold start this evening to let it idle until it warmed up. i have an egt, after 10 mins it was still smoking and holding at 209 F. Took it for a short trip around the block, temp immediately came up and it idled much smoother with no smoke. Not silky smooth like before though.
