Following the loss of my beloved 1995 E300D, we were in a period of extended mourning. We have returned to the diesel Mercedes fold with a used 2010 ML350 Bluetec. I'm sure I'll bring plenty of dumb questions to the forum. My first involves the trunk organizer under the cargo area: What all was supposed to be in here?


No spare tire due to Bluetec. Since run-flat tires are spec for this car, I don't know why they want me to have a jack, tire chock and lug wrench. I assume an electric air pump went into one of the squares. There are large two curved-bottom gaps that look like they were made for scuba tanks; I bet they were for something else. But what?

Any insight is appreciated.
