Wheeler dealer, anybody watch it?

the latest episode was a '87 560

Not a diesel but a lot of the repairs and tuning was reminiscent of stuff that's on here

Check it out. Very entertaining show.

The mechanic Edd China pulls the dash to repair the pods, tests injectors on the bench, installs euro bumpers and pulls the subframe.

He also changed the timing chain and guides.

For once I actually knew all the stuff that was being done on a car show

I watched that one. I wonder what flared fenders would look like on my 420. Ha.

Edd was great. New show promises "new antics". Oh boy...just what I want in a car show, another fast and loud, fantomeorks, rmd garage, orange county choppers, iron resurrection, reject garage, kindig it, and more. So original and marketable!

The new version is definitely lower budget. Some in-car scenes look and sound like Mike Brewer is filming on a cell phone. Kind of like the last year of Mythbusters where they dropped most of the crew. The repair scenes are just snap-shots. Perhaps they couldn't pay to keep a camera-man on-set through it all. But the new mechanic is very competent and explains well, though his fake surprises are less realistic than Edd's.
