How to know if it's time for new Springs
Looking for some wisdom from you all.
'92 300D, 325k miles. I replaced all the rubbers in the rear a little while back. Still has what Lools like to me to be excessive negative camber in the rear. Inside tire wear and all. Excessive negative camber would contribute to inside tire wear right? I'm thinking new springs would get that sorted out. Thoughts? How about the only adjustable link in the rear? How does that play into this? I had a hard time finding a local shop that would be able to perform an alignment on the rear of this car. Maybe I messed up trying to do it myself. OK, thanks for the ideas.

Measure height from ground to fender, compare against spec to see if rear is sagging. For a proper four wheel alignment, the dealer is your best bet. Most generic service stations are not equipped to handle adjustments to the rear. Yes excessive negative camber will cause accelerated wear to the inside edge of the tires.

Can someone provide the spec for that height please? It doesn't look too low but I've never measured. I did notice that last weekend I had a couple passengers in the back seat and it seemed like it was sitting pretty low. I'll post a picture when I get to work this morning.
