How to know if it's time for new Springs

Looking for some wisdom from you all.

'92 300D, 325k miles.

I replaced all the rubbers in the rear a little while back. Still has what Lools like to me to be excessive negative camber in the rear. Inside tire wear and all.

Excessive negative camber would contribute to inside tire wear right? I'm thinking new springs would get that sorted out. Thoughts?
How about the only adjustable link in the rear? How does that play into this?
I had a hard time finding a local shop that would be able to perform an alignment on the rear of this car. Maybe I messed up trying to do it myself.

OK, thanks for the ideas.
