How to remove the slide roof headlining on a w126?

I can see four spots which appear to be concealing clips. Do I just pry the panel down at these points?

Yes, pull down or pry close to the clips. The clips stay with the headliner. Headliner slides out through the sunroof hole.

As said above, pull down then slide forward. Be prepared for the plastic clips to break. They're inexpensive to replace.

Thank you gentlemen. I've broken so many corners on plastic panels and clips which were molded into the panels themselves I've become a bit gun shy.

I'm positive the DYI link to 126 sunroof work stated that the clips were plastic. This is my 85SE body which I put the 300SD engine in but the bodies for all purposes seems to be exactly the same.

I suspect this is not a 2-way sunroof? The 2-way sunroof has a 2-section panel, some plastic "wings" on the sides, and plastic guide rod on the back end. The 2-way sunroof panel has 4 plastic clips that hold the front edge in place.

I'm guessing a two way roof slides backward or raises in the rear. This one just goes backward and forward.

Sorry for my ignorance. I never considered the lift function of some units and though all you guys could read my mind. I can't imagine how anyone can maintain a marriage without that ability.

Right, the 2-way roof will raise in the rear for "vent" or will pull down and slide back to open completely.

What are these called?

All three of these rubber pieced broke/crumbled as I removed them from between the roof top and lining. Can anyone tell me how to refer to them, part number or name please? BTW, this picture came from the internet. I haven't removed the hard top yet and may not remove it.
