300TD v 300D Power Steering Pump - Diesel

Hello! I'm trying to replace my power steering pump because of a leak from the pump itself (not the tubes). So, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a difference between 300TD Power Steering Pump (PSP) and a 300D PSP. Is it ok if I put a 300D PSP into a 1983 Mercedes Benz 300TD? Thanks! Sorry if this is a stupid question.

It should be the same pump on US cars. The ‘87 300D and -TD use different pumps.

123 chassis sedan to wagon should work. 123's use a separate pump attached to the cylinder head for the SLS.

124 wagons use a different PSP that has separate chambers to pressurize the SLS.
