Temporary Auto Trans Shifter Bushing Fix...
Just to get by for the time being. These install MUCH easier than the OEM bushing. These are not made from the more rigid plastic but with rubber. They can be installed in seconds. These may not be something you want to use indefinitely, but these can sure keep you from going crazy hearing the shifter rods rattle against the shifter. And, you can buy these at Lowes or the like. Just thought I’d throw this out to everyone.

I used a piece of rubber hose several years ago as a temporary fix and it's worked so well I keep forgetting to order a new one.
It's definitely not a component that needs a lot of over-thinking. -Rog |

Rubber wire bulkhead grommets wont last long as they are made of soft rubber .But a good idea for short term, and will work very well .

Temporary Being the Key Word...
If I can get through the colder months with these then I’ll be happy. Lying on the cold ground underneath the car is getting harder and harder for me to do. I’m getting to where I rattle worse than the linkages without bushings. 😳🙄😂
