3 steps forward, 2 steps back...
So over the holiday I replaced my thermostat, front flex disc and the tensioner levers, shock, spring and pulley. I managed to replace the tensioner without removing the shroud, fan nor fan clutch. It was tedious, but easier using one of these:
![]() It's a 2", 12mm hex. It allowed me to remove the tensioner assembly (after removing the pulley). ![]() But alas, like Icarus, I flew too close to the sun. I decided to replace my cabin filters, only to discover my '91 300D doesn't have any. But that's not before I had removed all of the seals, bits and bobs around the wiper. It did give me the opportunity to clean the drains... but I broke one of these plastic bolts... any idea where to get them or what the part no. is? ![]() And it appears my mono valve is going to be a twit. In driving about today the heat was intermittent. Can anyone confirm that removing the vacuum line will give me full heat?
