Coolant Temperature Sensor Connector Replacement

The plastic connector has disintegrated and I need to come up with a replacement connector. EPC does not list a part number (or connector for that matter) just the actual sensor.

Assuming this is for a W123, as of a month or so ago, Pelican had one listed: 0095451428, "Cable Connector", special order, non-returnable. I didn't see a photo when I accessed it.

I entered the part number from the connector on my car, which the same as above. The connector is barrel-shaped, and has 3 prongs surrounding the hole that the wire goes into. Please let us know what you come up with. I need to order one, too.

Edit to add: This connects to a sensor near the thermostat housing.

It looks like that's just one part of the connector - the outside. There's also an inside part, which appears to screw into the outer cap. I think the number on it is 0085452028, but the numbers are tiny, and I can't find my 10x loupe. A search for that number on Pelican Parts turned up:

Pin Bushing Housing (but no pic; can't confirm).
Part #: 008-545-20-28-MBZ $3.75

Since it is described as a housing, I wonder if you might also need:
0035452626 Electrical Pin Bushing.

If you’re not sure, and don’t have access to EPC (since they took it away), go to your local dealer parts counter and have them pull up the diagram on their system. Amazing they still have these parts either in stock or a couple days away in a warehouse. Even for an 85.

Ya I thibk that's a dealership part.

Dealers are surprisingly inexpensive for trinkets such as those.

The connector that goes to the sensor on the side of the block and runs the engine temp sensor on my 85SD was MIA. I just crimped a generic connector from my box of connectors and guage has been working fine. The wire insulation has become brittle and the next step will be to replace the wiring or that part of the harness depending on what parts can be sourced.
