om606.910 shivering idle! HELP

Hello!

I bought an w124-300td with 350xxx km on it.
First i notice when inspecting the car was air in the clear diesel lines from injectionpump, clearly it runs ruff with air in the system. I thought that this was an easy fix an replaced all the lines with oem ones, that didnt make a big diffrence except i small improvement in idle and driving.

The owner before me did change headgasket and glowplugs, didnt say anything wrong with it other than air in the lines.

It starts right up with no problems whatsoever and runs good for about 2 min until it start to get a shivering idle and alot of smoke. It can maby seems that a cylinder is misfiring now and then. If i take a good 30 min trip and drive it hard, the problems goes away and gets a normal idle until restart.

Tried filling up dieselfilter with dieselpurge and then it ran like normal until the purge was used up, that did not work either.

Changed return filter and o rings on the injection pump because of a little leak.

Tried another injector that i thought was bad but didnt make a difference.

It still seems like its getting air in the system but where do i check when i dont se any air in the lines ?`

Video of the engine running.

these engines are notorious for delivery valve leaks...

fairly easy repair, but CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!!

park with the nose of the car pointed down and see if the problem goes away.

Sorry.
Changed the o ring because of the delivery valve leak. Cleaned very good before and was carefull. Also tried parking With nose down.
Iam Just lost..

Crack each injector line one at a time until you find the misbehaving cylinder and go from there. It could be an injector, weak compression, valve who knows.

You and VS may be talking about different things. I think this is what he is referring to:

PeachPartsWiki: Replacing the Delivery Valve Seals

You may be talking about the O rings on the fuel lines and the one between the shut off valve and the injection pump. At least that is my understanding of your posts and his.

That was Just a pin pointer on what i have done.
Dont think the delivery valves has Anything to do With the problem, so i hope. Compression test is UP next
