190D 2.5 Turbo - Radiator needed

Well, my radiator's got multiple cracks in the plastic tanks on both sides. I did some looking around and found some aftermarket plastic-tanked radiators for around the $500 mark (and a few sketchy ebay/etc. ones for around $200). Does anyone make an all aluminum radiator for these, or are there any better options than paying $500 for a plastic one? I plan to contact Griffin Performance to get a quote on having them build me a custom one, but just wanted to check with you guys first to see if there was an easier (or potentially cheaper) option.

The plastic tank radiator is original to the car. There's nothing wrong with it. The original lasted me 20 years, I replaced it with a Behr 10 years ago and it's still fine. If you want a custom aluminum one, I can build one for you, it certainly wouldn't be cheaper. I didn't even make one for my own car. There are Chinese brands that sell in the $350 range, I think that's all that's out there at the moment.

Just a tip..the upper and lower hoses are NLA, so start hunting.

PM sent regarding the radiator. Good info on the hoses, I almost threw mine out (they seem ok at the moment) but decided against it. I'll hold onto them for reference until I can find something to replace them.

Check out this link. 190E radiator may fit. I use 190E radiator in my 2.2 diesel. Yours is 2.5 so I am not sure.

Just be careful about this stuff. The original radiator is 2015009103, it's taller than the regular 2.5. The turbo cars have a different radiator frame to accomodate. Not sure if any other radiator is compatible.

Same for hoses. The bottom hose is a "Y", with some unique bends. Not so easy to find a substitute. You may be able to get a generic flex hose to fit the top, but the original has seemingly insignificant bends on each end that help it clear the PS pulley.

I'm in the same boat. Have a 190d turbo, can't find a radiator. I've also been considering an all aluminum unit.

I don't know how many of these cars are still on the road but maybe can place a bulk order and get a price break.

Also, I have swapped in a manual trans so I have no need for a tranny cooler.
