95 E300D Best repair manual and source?

This is the 1st car I've owned in the past 30 plus years where I didn't have a paper copy of the factory repair manuals. Sure made repair work easier. I'm making dumb/ignorant mistakes when no or not enough detail provided. Plus spending hours searching for how to's.

Is there a website available, proper downloads, CDs, DVDs, Paper ?

Go on eBay and get one of the $20 WIS sets. Put it on an old computer you don’t care about. Put the computer on your router’s guest network, since some say these discs carry viruses that can propagate to your home network.

If you are referring to Windows version it really doesn’t matter. What they give you is an image of a dealership computer on VMWare. You have to run VMWare Player on the machine and then run the “virtual machine” (computer image) inside the VMWare Player environment. The dealership computer is XP so it does not require a massive amount of horsepower to run.

I am using one of my son’s old laptop ca. 2011 running Windows 10 on the stock 4 GB RAM with no issues. The computer is slow as molasses to boot up, get VMWare going, and open the virtual machine, but once you do that the performance within the WIS (manual) and EPC (parts browser) is acceptable.

The software is delivered as 4 dual layer DVDs, so the computer you are intending to install the software on needs a dual layer capable DVD reader. These are dirt cheap on Amazon (either internal or USB) if you need one.
