1984 300DT rear brake caliper brand?

The front caliper brand is easy to read; ATE. I've looked all over the right rear brake caliper and am unable to locate whether it is ATE or Bendix. Photos attached, any ideas?

That is Bendix. You can tell because the retaining springs look like coat hanger wire. ATE has a flat retaining spring.

That, plus the hitch pin clips for the pins. One of which appears to be missing.

Can I buy a hitch pin clip by itself at the local auto parts or do I need to order the entire Bendix caliper hardware kit?

Hardware stores tend to sell hitch pin clips. Or you could probably make one from a paper clip.

My 300D was like this.

Why oh why did they do this? Did they just happen to have a bunch of leftover Bendix rears to clean out?

Made buying pads and brake equipment weird. For some reason, I would always forget. Thankfully, my 380sl is ATE all around.

Not really...

Ate and bendix have different depths. The pads on some are thicker.

Yes, I hear that is so.

I have never had a problem with it though so I suspect the aftermarket may not offer the thicker pads since they are identical in all other ways.

Bought some 3/4" cotter pins and put one in. Checked the other rear wheel just to make sure its' hitch pins were properly installed. Now I get to do a ton of other stuff to this car. This car is eating my TIME.
