Question BIOBOR JF

Based on suggestions here I bought some of this, in reading the label it says in big print NOT FOR ON ROAD VEHICLES .

If this is supposedly the only fungus product approved by Mercedes why does it say this ? .

I added some to my tank and hope I didn't do a bad thing .

? Thoughts ? .

TIA,

I suspect that is because of the potential for quickly clogging your fuel filters.. which could leave you stranded in the MIDDLE of the road...
so that is a statement to relieve them of responsibility for something like that... where you and others died because stupid people are tailgating at 70 miles per hour these days....
One must really be vigilant about the filters.... or just use these kinds of products after one has done the very best physical clean out of the fuel system you can......

Talking There's A Fungus Among Us

THANX ! .

This car came to me with the very worst case of fuel fungus I've ever seen or heard about thanks to the stupid hippies who ran it into the ground before I got it .

I've had it literally shudder to a halt in traffic a few times, most notably once in front of a Korean Church on a Sunday, I was in my grubbies, the nice, impeccably dressed Koreans all came out concerned as I barely coasted to a halt most of the way 'round a corner, barely out of traffic . they wanted to help me push the car or give me money etc., embarrassing but I said 'no thanx, I have this coverd THANK YOU!' and set right to work .

I carry spare filters and intake screens, I'm now down to very fine soft black powdery stuff .

I'm crippled to replacing the tank really isn't an option ~ I removed the cleaned the intake screen a few times, it's HOSPITAL CLEAN now and I hate fuel baths .

I was just worried is all .

I used the BioBor JF in the SDL and I'm not losing sleep. It seems to have done the trick of killing off the critters in my tank. Went on a 500 mile road trip this past weekend and changed the filters before I went. Prefilter is still clean, no more "coffee grinds", so hopefully that's the end of that. Will be using it on every fillup from now on, not messing with that again!

In addition to what I said above..
there is the potential that having it in the fuel then makes the exhaust emit things which are not allowed by law some places.....
there are different rules for off road vehicles.... which fit that category......
so it may be a pro forma statement so they can sell it in the US.

I've found that the more warnings on a product, the better. It's a sign that the product actually works and is potent stuff, rather than a watered down placebo.

LOL , Agree totally.
Also applies big time to finishes used in Leathercraft.

You'll never meet anyone more diligent about dirty fuel and clogged filters than I .

Dirty fuel seems to gravitate to me .

In my experience the biocide will kill the bacteria and allow them to pass through the filters.

Thank you .

That's what I had with both Startron and K100, I'm still getting very fine soft black powdery stuff in my micronic paper element filter .

Less and less, I hope it ends soon .
