I have used two of them in a 300D. The first one lasted six years. It was still good when I changed it. When I brought the car down here to Mexico, I bought a new one just because the old one was six years old. The new one went bad in a year. I should have saved my money and kept using the old one.

I believe there is a 3 year unconditional warranty on the Bosch battery, then prorated after that.

49 and 48

I've bought three Bosch on sale at Pep Boys over the past 6 years. The 49 in two E300s have held up fine for 5 years, and the 48 in the 300TE is still going strong at 6 years.

Add a "thumbs up" from me. Hard to beat the price and they also have a "bonus points" program which takes some of the sting out of what batteries are going for now.

If you haven't bought it yet, I'd suggest paying a bit more and getting the AGM model.

There was a recent rebate for Bosch batteries purchased at PepBoys. I think it was $25 on Premium and $30 for AGM. Not sure if it's still going.

Got an AGM for my truck for about $130 after rebate which I have yet to receive.

Good to hear they've improved quality ~ I tried a few Bosch batteries in the 1980's every one died within two years, the pro - rated warranty is B.S. for all brands .

AGM's are typically very good .
