What is the fluid capacity for a 1984 300DT transmission?
Needing to change transmission fluid, what is the fluid capacity for both torque converter and pan?

Assuming it's a 722.3, draining the pan and torque converter will take somewhere between 5 and 7 quarts to refill and adjust the level. The amount you refill depends on the amount that drained out, a quart or so will stay in the transmission cooler and lines, and a bit more will stay in the valve body.

I believe two gallons will do it, including converter.

transmission fluid change
Best way to know is to check the level on the dipstick while warm if the kvel is correct and then carefully measure how much comes out of the pan and torque converter. MB specs 6.2 l or 6.6 qts.
