roof weight limits for a1982 300TD wagon

Hi,
looking for the roof weight limits for a 1982 300TD wagon, static and dynamic weight limits.....how much can i load on top?

It's possible, but I don't think the same people will have a definitive answer for almost the same question. As a SWAG, I'd say 300# when rolling, or a stack of volvos when stopped, level and properly applied.

And, speaking from experience, the TD is between hard and dangerous to drive with moderate to heavy loads if the rear subframe and LCA bushings are loose, and/or the SLS is not in good shape. The extra weight and higher/further back CG of the TD worsens the tendency of a W123's back end to wander around and steer adversely on old bushings. At this point in it's life, if the back end hasn't been gone through in the last 10 or so years, I'd do it before driving cross country with a camper top on it.
