anyone know how to disassemble the rear hatch door of the 300td wagon ?

i want to take the rear hatch off

First of all, you will need at least two people to do the job safely. After removing the inner panels, disconnect all the wiring from the hatch- it stays with the car. If you can rig up some sort of platform to set the hatch on with it in the fully open position, that would be better. You could even use an engine hoist with a strap around the hatch. Remove the clips and pins holding the struts on the hatch. Remove the bolts holding the hinges to the hatch. Remember that the hatch is pretty heavy, so don't let it get away from you.

Very. Very. Heavy. I'll go further and say two people and a spotter in case you forget something or need an extra hand. You will not want to take a hand off the hatch to get something.
