My collection of W123's is growing!

I got my '81 300D (light ivory) back from my niece, so I am up to six drivers now (5-W123's & W211 E320 Bluetec). They are all registered and insured. I actually have eight more (parts and project cars). The coupe runs great, but has no fourth gear. I drive it local every once in a while. The 240 (dark blue) is my "beater with a heater". The light blue 300D runs and drives excellent. I will be putting A/C in it, and then sell it. Of course the wagon is my daily, along with my E320 Bluetec (not pictured). The ivory 300D was my brothers first 'Benz years ago. He bought it with a bad (N/A) engine. It had near perfect paint, dash, wood, chrome wheels, and Palomino leather seats. We got a wrecking yard turbo engine and swapped it in. He drove it for many years before trading it to me. I put Sanden A/C in it and used it for a while. My niece (Kristy) bought it and used it until a few weeks ago when she upgraded to a nicer '85 300D. The coupe was saved from Pick-A-Part years ago. I had it for a while, my other niece (Kellee) bought it and drove it for years, then traded up to my first CDI and I got the coupe back. The light blue 300D belonged to a friend (Aliza). It has been in her family since new (grandfather bought it in 1984). It needed a lot of work, so they offered it to me since I like these cars. You may ask why I have so many W123's? I would answer: "I wouldn't want to be caught short on them".....Rich

beautiful collection! If I had proper garages I would have more than I have as well, but usually end up selling any extra benzes I buy after giving them some love and sending them back into the wild

Still its gotta be a nice feeling having so many Stuttgart machines #Jealous

That is a great explanation of exactly what I have been doing for the past 20 years. The slight difference is that several have gone out, and came back!
