Troy Bilt Trimmer piston siezed; Kroil or Marvel Mystery Oil?

It appears my Troy Bilt weed trimmer is seized. I'm considering injecting either Kroil oil or Marvel Mystery Oil through the spark plug hole. Which do you think would be better?

A new trimmer would be money better spent compared to all the work and money you've dumped into this one. If it's seized, it's junk.

Ugh. Two strokes. You’re in for a treat if you find them entertaining. You’re going to have to pull the cylinder, and probably replace both piston and cylinder.

If this is the TB575 you've been posting about in other threads, it's an absolutely appalling POS. I have one at the office and every time I have to use it, I think about leaving it in front of the building "accidentally".

At the house I have an ancient TroyBilt 4-cycle trimmer from the late 90s with a Honda engine on it, and that thing is bulletproof. Talk about something with BALLS. Too bad it weighs about as much as a small moon. This new crap they sell is just rebadged Ryobi with a higher price tag. Low power, absolutely no torque, plastic camshafts that strip out or melt, flimsy shafts that wobble. It's an insult to the TroyBilt name.

Kroil absolutely will not hurt anything .

I recently used it to unstick an engine that became stuck from sitting unused .

A couple years back I bought a battery electric string trimmer.

I will never own another gas one again. Ever.

Same here. The gassers need ethanol free to keep the engine alive. Might as well use electric rather than deal with the hassle and cost.

Put some Kroil in through the spark plug hole this morning. I'll let it sit overnight and try turning it over tomorrow.

When I was little I had a car door slammed shut on my hand. I still remember it quite vividly.
