Serial Number for Cruise Control Amplifier?
 
Hello: Wondering if anyone has the serial number for the cruise control amplifier for 78 300D. I realize the most assured method is to go and rip mine out but would like to avoid the trouble if I can as getting that under-the-dash panel on and off I've found is a royal pain and I always break something in the process.

I've heard "002 545 3232" would work, but others say nay.

The difference may be the cable actuator vs. lever.
www.everything benz.com is usually a pretty decent EPC.
It shows 055 45 1232

A serial number would be unique to a specific amplifier, if indeed they are numbered serially.
Perhaps what you seek is the part number.
