‘87 300SDL Axle Shafts Availability
I have looked at every online parts supplier I use, including Pelican. I have called one local parts store. No one shows an axle shaft assembly available. Maybe I’m searching wrong. Are these axle shaft assemblies extinct like the OEM radiators? Where am I going wrong looking for these?

Are these different than any other model w126? Seems there's a lot of these cars out there, so there should be some rebuilder.
If your boots are good and you can spare the time, there's a rebuilder in Colorado (denver?) that apparently does a good job and doesnt ruin them by grinding the case hardening.

NLA
Mercedes tells me that my axle is NLA. Advance Auto claims to have one for my car for $113. Not sure if I trust what they’re telling me. I called CJVREMAN and they have one in stock. By the time it’s shipped it will cost me $335. I’ll get a $100 core charge back...eventually. Looks like I’ll just be replacing the axle boots this go around. UGH!
