W210 glow plugs and relay

Whats up peach parts peeps ?

My wife's W210 had the glow plug light staying on while running a couple of weeks now with a glow plug relay code and now that it is getting colder its getting harder to start ( cold rolled in before I got a chance to order and change the parts )

now if we start it in the morning ( 36 deg today ) it would run ok then starts running real rough and shuts off !

I ordered the relay and glow plugs from Pelican end of last week and they should be here this week, should I be worried about something else now that it shuts off on its own ? can a relay and or the glow plugs cause the idle and shutting off problem ?

The glow plug light and code warrant replacement to address difficult to start. Not sure if they are related to idle then die. If you have not done this before, research here how to check for defective plugs prior to removal. The relay may be malfunctioning and not powering a plug(s). In any case, research the valuable information here on plug removal. There is a risk of breakage in place which changes the scope of work significantly.

I planned on testing them one by one before I take out
