The Auctions...
My uncle is a used car dealer. He himself drives an E300 Turbodiesel. He had a brown 240D with lots of rust, but only 150K in the lot, had records, and wanted 500 bucks. Sold it before I even became interested in the cars. The question is, he says that he gets many of these cars at auctions where dealers wholesale cars out. He says they are quite cheap, and can get one with 150-180K for about 1500-2000 dollars. You guys have any experience with these auctions? Are they a good place to get Mercedes diesels? All the classifieds in my area seem too expensive (maybe I am just too cheap

The classifieds in the Austin Tex area are the same way... way above what I know people are getting comparable cars for ...
Many of those dealer aucions do require that the car be driven up on the block... if that is any consolation .... ![]() Which should mean it WILL travel FORWARD.... :p |

Lol
Ya they are sitting in a lot. and you can check them out. The problem is I really like to have a mech put it up on a lift etc. I guess thats what you get when your paying 800 bucks lol.
