w123 Turbo Charger Oil Line to Turbo Gasket Question

Hey there, I searched the forum for this, but couldn't seem to find it. So, I just replaced my air filter bracket, unfortunately part of mine broke off so the air filter was supported by only two bushings. In order to get the new bracket in place, I had to loosen the bolts connecting the oil line to the top of the turbo (see pic). So, I ordered a new gasket from the fine folks at Peach Parts, and was wondering two things. First, do I need to add any sort of sealant to the gasket when I install it? Second, do I need to torque the bolts that hold the oil line to the turbo to a specific torque setting?

#1 : about 18 Lb. Ft.

#2 : next time (yes, there will be a next time) use a 3/8" drive 13MM socket on a wobble to reach that hard to access bolt, n don't undo the oil feed pipe .

#3 : never, EVER use goop on oil feed pipes ! .

Talking Progress, I *think*

O-Kay then ;

I jacked and blocked the car this morning and spent a long, long time cleaning the engine and undercarriage, wow was there a _lot_ of oil on everything .

I had to use a degreaser soaked rag (guess what brand ?) over the exhaust to get it clean and I stopped before the rear suspension so there's lots more to clean yet .

I didn't want to dismount the steering box 'cause it's a heavy mother and I don't know if I'd be able to hoist it back up into place with my mangled hands etc.

I wound up having to remove the engine oil cooler and hose support to move the hoses far enough out of they way to reach all the 6MM ATF hex head bolts, I discovered the original gasket was there along with some ancient gasket cement, that took a long time to clean/scrape/wire brush clean, the banjo bolt for the turbo oil feed line was stiff when it came out, the threads look O.K. but I can't get it started again so I quit at sundown and will go back to - morrow .

It's going back to - gether *much* faster/easier than it came apart .

Good thing I'm retired, eh ? .

I want to re seal the P.S.pump and replace the ignition lock cylinder as it's beginning to jam again, I ordered in a new one from the Classic Center with the correct key a while ago .
