What are the ID of the fuel tank return hoses?

I can't remember for sure - sorry - but I have a sneaky feeling 8 (mm) is the magic number

Model, and year would help get you an answer, unless someone knows for sure they are all similar.

fuel tank is 78 model my car is 79

It should 7.5- 8mm hose.
