Whats a well worn W115 go for these days?
I purchased this 72 220D (240D motor swap) a while back and have been slowly reviving it.
Honestly it hasn't need anything more than the typical suspension/fluids/rubber parts that typical 40+ year old vehicles need. Vehicle spent most of its life in texas so there is very little rust, which would be the main reason I purchased it. Currently, It's my reliable daily driver and I do enjoy driving it. There is quite a bit of patina (which I personally like) on the exterior and interior. Creme MB tex, Green exterior, sunroof + 4 speed manual trans. Thoughts on what this thing might go for? I'm looking to get into either a gas engined 123 coupe or sedan or 300CD. Located in Philadelphia. https://i.imgur.com/MxVMx1V.png Rencent services include: Fresh Oil + filter Fresh Trans fluid + shifter bushing rebuild Fresh Diff oil 1 New rear axle New ball joints in the front 4 new tires new oil cooler lines new power steering lines + fluid new air filter new glow plugs rebuilt injectors new fuel lines + filters dropped fuel tank and cleaned out (4) new shocks |
Where in Philly are you located?
I'm in pretty far south Philly with my own 220D. Yours looks cleaner than mine (mine has some sheet metal rust) and if the engine is tight yours should go for $3000+. I wish I could buy it! I'd love to check it out though. If you want to get rid of that roof rack, I'm in the market. Phil Forrest |
The 115 will be worth Whatever you can get for it!

What year is the 240D engine from?

The OP asked:
"Whats a well worn W115 go for these days?" To paraphrase Bob Dylan, the answer is blowin' in the market. Put it on the block. The dilettantes will not have the answer. |
