App for android smart phone so I can record sounds from diesel engine.

I have a small microphone that plugs into my Samsung Galaxy smart phone. Does anyone know of a good app I can download so I can record the sounds of the 617 diesel engine?

I'd like to be able to upload the sound clip to this forum......

Isn’t there a native recorder app? How about the video recorder?

I'm checking google play store now for apps. I had to tear half the house apart this morning and finally located my little el cheapo microphone that plugs into the smart phone. Hopefully, I can make a quality recording of the weird sounds the 617 turbo diesel is making.

Can't you just make a video with your smartphone of the engine running and post it? That has sound.

If you look for a folder like icon with a world in front of it called "Samsung" there is a pre-loaded application called S voice that does exactly what you want (using the microphone on your clever telephone)
