Uh oh, Johny Law wants my E300!

Seeing that my E300 has a major fuel leak and the belt tensioner is worn to hell. I decided not to drive it until it is fixed.

It has expired state inspection which makes it liable for towing, and it sat for days at a time. Well the vehicle has to move every 48 hours to not be considered abandoned.

Long story short I had to get 4 new tires (used, I know kill me) and it passed inspection. I talked to the Police Department and as long as it has current inspection on public motorways it's fine.

Aw, the joys of living in an apartment!

Don't forget to grease the screw and threads on the spring compressor.

We get 72 hours instead of your 48 on the street but even cars in the driveway of my house should be registered, insured and in running condition. I got cited for leaving a car on stands for days on end. Relevance - it was an ‘83 SD.

I’ll take it over VA speed enforcement.

So far, we out in the counties of Alabama don’t have to worry about such things.
But I suspect we will adapt the city rules and have this problem sometime in the future.
On the bright side, you got your car going again.

Did the apartment thing for awhile.

Sucked on the one hand with the restrictions. I didn't mind the ones that were necessary for harmonious living in close proximity to others or to prevent stupid people from harming others living in the same building as them, but some were just management preference as far as I could tell and those annoyed me significantly.

It was AWESOME on the other hand because I couldn't have afforded a house at the time and an apartment was way better than being homeless.

Never let the deep state steal your vessel. All cars titled and / or registered with the state are property of the state and can be claimed at any time. Blacks Law dictionary states that unless you are involved in interstate commerce ( commercial ) you do not need a drivers license or registration. Further more, you have the constitutional right to travel by any means including your vessel. Also, birth certificates are proof that a bank owns the person listed on the document. These owned persons are collateral for the debts of the USA . To read more about moores use this link to a university of north carolina but do it quickly as the deep state will alter the document to hide the truth. https://www.sog.unc.edu/sites/www.sog.unc.edu/files/course_materials/Sovereign%20citizens%20brief%20guide%20Mar%2013.pdf . . . And remember, for maximum protection against psychotronic radiation, the shiny side faces outwards.

I've accidentally had my cars lapse registration here and there. I also had a car 2 years out of inspection that I drove daily (I'm not good at remembering stuff like that). We also have s 48 hour rule, but it's only enforced if the neighbors complain. Basically dont piss off the neighbors and you're fine

My car is 5 years out of date, so yeah there's that.

I learned a lot, and if I bring home another crippled Benz, I'll be sure tp putt it in differents every 24 hours to avoid this again.

I have heard all of this before. Although I completely agree, it is very hard to "posture" one's self in this way. Most folks find it easier to just roll with the flow (status quo)....Rich

I’ve seen some of these sovereign rights guys getting pulled over on Live PD. Popcorn time.

I live in Richland County SC and have had LPD episodes occur uncomfortably close to where I live.

Oh man, I remember those days.

I know a guy who used to just throw a pack of smokes on the dash right where the inspection sticker was supposed to go. Usually kept the casual glances at bay.

In my county in CA, you are not allowed to do "major repairs" to your own cars even in your own garage. That means anything beyond simple brake jobs or such. But, I do semi-minor things like motor mounts or timing chain in my driveways and change engines and such behind the fence or in garages. They would have to get a warrant to search my property. I ignore such laws written to benefit special interests like shops.
